Sunday September 25, 2016, True Love Church in Birmingham, AL celebrated their Friends & Family Day. The celebration kicked off the day before with their annual church picnic while the members enjoyed games, music, and fellowship with one another. The Sunday morning service
showed much attention and devotion to the love of the family and loyal friendships. The members of the church came together to show their love for Christ and the family in form of
singing, praise dancing, dedication of an infant and preaching.
The atmosphere was very positive. The flow of the church service was very powerful and spiritually led. The family and friend day theme was accompanied with the African dashiki attire as many of the members including the entire choir dressed in uniform. Following service, the media relations specialist of the True Love’s Fine Arts Ministry, Cornelius Woods, took photographs of the choir. after speaking with several members – praise and worship leader Byron Young shared “this was another great Sunday at True Love, you just have to love it here.”
As members fellowshipped about the weekend – introducing visiting family members to one another, Cornelius Woods shared a few thoughts during an interview. With photography being a hobby for Woods, he provides the fine arts ministry with a solid foundation and a skillful talent. He assists with all the visual media content throughout the service daily including duties such as recording services and photographs at all church events.
“I love being able to serve in ministry”, comment made by Woods. He also stated during the interview how much he enjoys being a leader in productions and plans to continue striving in the field if no where else, at True Love. As members continued to engage with their families and friends, many shared their appreciation for the media department and the great work they always put forth in the church. Many of them shared pictures and videos from the events that took place during the annual friends and family weekend – several of which being shared of Cornelius Woods works and photos.
Rumor has it, the church is already preparing for the next family and friend weekend. The Village community ministry of the church along with several other ministries are ready to come together for another great fellowship very soon.
